Taking selfies is still the primary reason for Filipinos to use camera phones. Local consumers have become more aware of the basic features that could render the best selfie experiences: a front camera with good resolution, flash that provides enough light when it is dark, and an app or two for compiling or editing.
To meet the requirements and preferences of the young and active generation, Alcatel is bringing to the market its SHINE LITE, the brand’s latest smartphone model that embodies what the term “feature rich” is all about.
The phone’s camera features take its center stage. The 13-megapixel rear/main camera comes with dual-tone flash that facilitates more natural and accurate color toned images even under low-light conditions. The 5-megapixel front camera comes with flash, providing necessary lighting to make vivid photos in any light condition.
After taking selfies and other photos, the user could store those images in a special Selfie Album. A built-in app called Face Show can help create videos out of chosen vanity shots. Then, there’s the Split Catcher app that instantly makes a collage out of saved photos.
The fun never stops there. SHINE LITE comes with a unique “V-gesture” snapshot. How does it work? Simply make a V-sign with your two fingers when taking a selfie. Doing so would automatically trigger a timer and start a countdown (count to three) for taking of a photo. The time allocated would surely be enough for user to strike a stylish pose for a well-composed picture.
The new smartphone also comes with a fingerprint sensor for increased security and instant access as well as a Safebox for storing photos, videos, music, and even document files.
For its aesthetic appeal, SHINE LITE has a sleek, premium, and sophisticated symmetrical design with 2.5D glass covering both sides, wrapped with stylish metallic frame. The overall design gives a smoother feel, more ideal for swiping. The ergonomic look is brought by those curves.
Alcatel SHINE LITE is available in Pure White or Satin Gold for P9,999.
Alcatel Pixi 4 Plus
Meanwhile, the latest addition to the roster of Pixi phones from the brand is boasting its beefiest feature—its phenomenal battery pack at about 5,000 mAh, lasting up to 32 hours on talktime. To top that further, the phone supports fast charging and can also be used as an alternative power bank for other devices.
Pixi 4 Plus is an entry-level device with upgraded features: a 5.5-inch display, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front camera (for taking selfies), and an expandable 8-GB storage. The Android 6.0 Marshmallow phone even has snappers with LED flashes.
The smartphone is available in the market for P5,999.
Movetime Track & Talk Watch
After providing the market with its affordable smartwatch Alcatel Go, the brand is now offering another wearable device. This time, it is targeting kids through its revolutionary Movetime Track & Talk Watch.
The kiddie smartwatch can facilitate instant telephone calls; can track wearer’s location via GSM, GPS, or Wi-Fi; and monitor whether the wearer is entering or leaving a designated safe zone. This can be the best gadget for parents who intend to constantly monitor their kid’s whereabouts.
Alcatel Movetime Track & Talk Watch can be availed through PLDT’s Telpad Promo (P199 per month) or through any of authorized retailers nationwide for P2,899.
