1. Data rollover for postpaid subscribers
Many postpaid mobile subscribers do not completely use up their monthly data allocation. Thus, Globe comes up with a strategy to prevent its customers from wasting even a single byte of data.

This offering under the telecom carrier’s myLifestyle plans is the first and only one in the country, according to Katie Dizon, Globe Telecom’s Vice President for Postpaid. “It gives Globe postpaid subscribers under myLifestyle plans the ability to rollover their unused data from this month to the next month, for free,” she said.

However, subscribers need to call the company’s customer hotline (730-1000 on landline and 211 on mobile), visit http://www.globe.com.ph/rollover, or go to any Globe store to activate the service for their accounts.

2. Enjoy Netflix for free
Globe Broadband now offers free Netflix (Standard Plan) access to its subscribers on Plan 1299 and higher for six months. This offer will last until February 21, 2017.

Moreover, Globe has also converted the stretch of Bonifacio High Street into a ‘Flix Street.’ That is because it has scattered Netflix immersion zones along the area, where there are fantastic booths for fun activities.

3. New karaoke app
Kat Ramnani, Director for Music Content at Globe Telecom, revealed that the Philippines remains as the fastest growing market for music streaming app Spotify in Southeast Asia and the second globally.

“Like what we did in 2012, we listen to consumers again and there’s a need to grow,” said Ramnani. She added that the company’s broadband team is taking care of the rollout of a new karaoke app, which allows users to sing in duets with their favorite singers.

The app is expected to be an instant hit among Filipinos, which are naturally born music lovers. It would even come with an autotune feature, perfect for non-singers who want to spare their selves from the usual embarrassment for singing out of tune.

4. Musical.ly for creating instant music videos
“In Globe, we want to deliver a more holistic approach. We have that for you. This offering allows you to create your own music story,” Ramnani added. It does not surprise that another music app, Musical.ly is making it big in the local market.

Musical.ly President Alex Hofmann revealed that Globe is the first exclusive telecom partner of the app in the world. Launched in April 2015, Musical.ly now has over 130 million users worldwide; 4 million of those are based in the Philippines. It is a music-video-making program that enables users to creatively express their selves through their own music story. The videos can also be shared online.

5. The search for Disney princesses
To further inspire young girls of all ages to reach their lifelong ambitions of becoming princesses, Globe is teaming up with Disney to search for six princesses in the country.

The nationwide search will use video-sharing site YouTube for the creation and posting of videos. The goal is to discover new Disney princesses, to be introduced in a gala concert, which will also star other amazing Disney stars.
